VILLAGE SHOP

Our Range
As a village shop, Clarke’s is delighted to be at the heart of this charming village, a proper community facility for the generations of families and loyal regulars we see most days.

We stock most of the familiar brands and traditional favourites, that a local store should stock, as well as a delicious array of Suffolk and East Anglian speciality products and tasty cooks’ ingredients and fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables, dairy, bread, eggs and the like.

With our century of history in local butchery, our well-stocked and appetising meat counters are what we are known for in the Halesworth area and the wider north-east part of this foodie county. Having built firm relationships with farming families across Suffolk and Norfolk over those 100 years or more, we specialise in sourcing well-fed, properly-reared farmyard meats from our trusted farmers and local abattoirs. Wherever possible, we work with native, heritage breeds and encourage locally-milled feeds and low-scale production with our carefully-selected suppliers,

Our Services
As a traditional retailer and butcher’s in the best sense of the word, Clarke’s believe in the caring, old-fashioned customer care, still offering many of those little touches and that extra help that distinguishes independent retailers from the speed and process you endure on the High Street and supermarkets.

We offer a full, high-quality, seasonal range of fresh produce, ingredients and local specialities. If you can’t see what you need, we will do our utmost to source it for you by special order with a little notice.

Our Team
The friendly, knowledgeable staff at Clarke’s of Bramfield offer a warm welcome and helpful service to all our customers visiting the village shop and butcher’s.

Led by our master butchers Gary and John manning the meat counters and Jane, Ayu, Janice and Christine in the shop, you can be sure of a smile and a desire to please from the whole long-serving team here at Bramfield.

Familiar friends to our many regulars visiting the shop, the very approachable owners Jeremy and son Richard are generally about the place most days, managing all the Thickitt family’s interests at Clarke’s and their other butchery enterprises here.
